Mentions and notification controls
How to do it
In server notification settings choose all messages, mentions only or none. Channel overrides let a busy channel stay quiet while important channels still notify you. You can mute a channel or server temporarily.
Keep in mind
Use mentions thoughtfully: everyone/role mentions may require permission. Do Not Disturb and Windows notification settings can suppress alerts too. Teens retain protective defaults. If alerts look inconsistent, check channel overrides before resetting your preferences.
