DMs, groups and voice messages
How to do it
Open a friend profile for a DM or make a group with up to nine other people. To send a voice message, hold the microphone button in the message composer, speak for up to 5 minutes, then follow the send controls. Check recipients first.
Keep in mind
A voice message is stored media, unlike an unrecorded live call. Teens DM only friends. Attachments are up to 25 MB free or 500 MB with Beacon. Never send sensitive personal data just because a chat feels informal.

Uploads and file safety
Uploaded videos are analyzed automatically using extracted video frames before other people can view them. A pending or restricted video is not a published video. PDFs and other files have no inline preview; teens can access files they sent themselves or that were sent by friends, not files from strangers. Executables are blocked, including .exe, .msi, .bat, .ps1, .apk and similar formats. Do not rename or package an executable to bypass the block. These controls reduce risk without guaranteeing that every permitted file is harmless.
